NationalCard Signs Karen Ann Quinlan Foundation

[Rochelle Park, NJ, September, 2005]  Twenty Five years ago the Quinlan family's lives were turned upside down when Karen Ann Quinlan, a vibrant, energetic 21 year old, fell into a coma.  Her mother, Julia and her husband Joe eventually found themselves in a highly publicized quest to win the right to let their daughter die with dignity.  The case made headlines and TV newscasts nationwide an abroad.

In 1980, the Quinlans opened the doors to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice in Newton, New Jersey.  The hospice program helps terminally ill patients and their families and is a non-profit center providing in-home medical services and additional aid.
